Biography
Daniel Agnew, born in 1809, devoted his life to the law and rose to become Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He earned respect for clarity of judgment and a belief that the courts should protect both order and individual rights.
His opinions and leadership helped shape the Commonwealth's legal framework for generations, inspiring lawyers and jurists who followed him. He now rests at Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum, honored as a guardian of justice.
