Biography

Daniel François Esprit Auber was a celebrated French composer whose operas and musical compositions defined much of nineteenth-century French musical culture. His prolific output and innovative approach to operatic composition earned him international recognition and established him as a master of the operatic form.

Auber's enduring musical legacy is honored by his burial at Père Lachaise Cemetery, where he was laid to rest following his death in 1871, securing his place among the greatest composers of his era.
