Biography
Daniel W. Mills built a career in Chicago as a businessman who believed that prosperity ought to be shared, and he brought those convictions to the halls of Congress when he represented Illinois. His term in the U.S. House emphasized infrastructure, veterans’ needs, and the fair treatment of laborers who powered the city’s factories and railroads.
When he returned from Washington, he remained a close companion to civic organizations, supporting the improvement of schools, parks, and charitable institutions. He was known as a warm presence who never forgot the people who placed their trust in him.
