Biography

Dave Foutz turned his athletic gifts into a notable baseball career in the 1880s, excelling as both pitcher and outfielder for the St. Louis club and earning the respect of teammates and rivals alike.

He remained engaged with the sport after his playing days, mentoring younger men and helping to sustain the hopeful spirit of professional baseball, and he rests now at Loudon Park Cemetery.
