Biography

Dave Sisler (1931–2011) was a graceful pitcher whose major league career took him from Boston to Detroit and Washington, where he earned respect for his competitiveness and sportsmanship. He inspired teammates with a quiet work ethic and a willingness to take younger players under his wing.

Long after his playing days ended, he celebrated baseball by sharing stories and encouragement with aspiring athletes, and he now lies at Faith Des Peres Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
