David A. Ryerson

Biography

David A. Ryerson, born in 1835, devoted much of his life to the area that would one day surround Pompton Reformed Church Cemetery, and he was laid to rest there in 1910. He experienced many pivotal moments of the 19th century and remained committed to the welfare of his neighbors.

The memory of his steadfast nature endures in the hearts of those who visit Pompton Reformed Church Cemetery to pay their respects.
