Biography
David Gertsevitsj Loere was a Russian economist born in 1899 who contributed to economic analysis and policy discussions in the Soviet Union. He was active in economic circles during the 1920s and 1930s.
Loere was executed in 1939 at the Kommunarka shooting ground during the Great Purge, one of many economists and scholars whose expertise and lives were lost to the era's systematic repressions.
