Biography

David Golumbia was a digital politics scholar whose research interrogated the cultural assumptions of the Internet, writing influential books like "The Cultural Logic of Computation" and "The Politics of Digital Culture" while teaching at Virginia Commonwealth University. He challenged students and readers to think critically about surveillance, copyright, and the ways computation reshapes public life.

Beyond the classroom he was a generous mentor, offering thoughtful feedback on graduate work and supporting emerging scholars from underrepresented backgrounds; he is now remembered at Beth El Memorial Park Cemetery.
