David H. Goodell brought a thoughtful work ethic to Maplewood, eagerly lending his hand wherever the community needed it. Born in 1834, he watched generations grow up around the shade of the trees that define his beloved cemetery.

When he passed in 1915, Maplewood mourned a man who modeled steadfast dedication, leaving behind a legacy of quiet generosity and trusted dependability.
