David Hoyt

Biography

David Hoyt (1757–1803) lived forty-six years during the Revolutionary period and the early years of American independence. His lifetime witnessed the birth of the nation and its first steps as a sovereign power.

Hoyt was buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery, where he rests among his contemporaries. His life, though not long by modern standards, spanned a pivotal era in American history.
