David McDougal

Biography

David McDougal, born in 1809, was among the early pioneers who staked their claims in California, developing land and fostering communities along the coast and in the valleys that sustained the growing population.

He dedicated himself to the stewardship of those lands and to supporting neighbors who followed, and Mountain View Cemetery commemorates him as a foundational settler and landowner.
