David Nevins, Jr., born in 1839, became known throughout Methuen for his steadfast support of industry and the many causes that benefited the town he loved.

He believed in the power of thoughtful stewardship and offered encouragement to workers, entrepreneurs, and neighbors seeking to strengthen the local community.
