Dawn Clark Netsch combined her legal scholarship with a passion for public service, teaching constitutional law while earning respect as a state senator and as the first woman to secure a major-party nomination for governor of Illinois.

She inspired countless students and colleagues with a dedication to ethics and fairness, and her legacy of advocacy for education and government accountability is commemorated at Graceland Cemetery.
