Biography

Dēmētrēs Kechaidēs was a distinguished Greek playwright whose dramatic works contributed significantly to Greek theater. Born in 1933, he brought creative vision and literary talent to the Greek stage, establishing himself as an important voice in twentieth-century Greek drama.

Kechaidēs's plays reflected his deep engagement with theatrical tradition and contemporary themes. He passed away in 2005 and was laid to rest in Zografou cemetery, where his legacy as a playwright continues to be recognized and celebrated.
