Désiré-Raoul Rochette (1790–1854) was a distinguished French art historian and archaeologist whose scholarly expertise shaped the study of classical and contemporary art. His contributions to art historical methodology and his extensive research enriched nineteenth-century cultural understanding.

Rochette's work in art history and archaeology established him as a respected intellectual figure of his time. He was interred in Montparnasse Cemetery, a testament to his significance in French cultural and academic life until his death in 1854.
