Biography
Dick Fowler, born 1921, pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics through the 1940s, including a memorable complete game late in the 1945 season while honoring his service in the Navy Reserve during World War II. After hanging up his glove he remained involved in baseball at the grassroots level, coaching youth teams and sharing lessons about discipline and sportsmanship with players of all skill levels.
