Biography
Doc Blanchard became a heroic figure at West Point, earning the 1945 Heisman Trophy after powering Army to national championships alongside Glenn Davis. Known as "Mr. Inside," he was revered for his leadership on the field and the discipline he brought to the game.
After graduation he served in the Air Force and remained an ambassador for the Army team, encouraging young athletes; he is laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston with gratitude for both his athletic and military service.
