Biography
Raised in Washington state, Don Steinbrunner's athletic gifts carried him from Washington State University to the professional ranks with the Cleveland Browns, where he earned respect for his strength as a tackle and his quiet leadership.
Answering a higher call, he volunteered for service in the U.S. Air Force, and while flying supply missions in Vietnam he made the ultimate sacrifice in 1967, leaving a legacy of bravery upheld by those who visit his grave at Saxon Cemetery.
