Biography
William 'Dusty' Boggess spent nearly twenty seasons as a National League umpire, guiding marquee contests with measured fairness and officiating multiple World Series and All-Star games during baseball’s golden decades.
After retiring from the field he devoted himself to mentoring younger arbiters of the game and supporting youth baseball, helping to instill in others the same respect for players and the sport that defined his career; his memory rests at Sparkman-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
