Ebenezer Learned

Biography

Ebenezer Learned, whose life ended in 1801, is laid to rest in South Cemetery. His times included the stirrings of national identity and local solidarity, witnessed from the vantage of South Cemetery’s peaceful grounds.

Without recorded details of his occupation, we can nevertheless honor him as part of the generation that upheld family and community through changing eras. His memory rests among those who forged the early republic.
