Biography

Ebenezer Thomas, known by his bardic name Eben Fardd, was a Welsh poet of considerable talent and reputation. His literary contributions enriched Welsh cultural life during the nineteenth century, and his work reflected the linguistic and poetic traditions of his native Wales.

Thomas lived from 1802 to 1863, dedicating much of his life to the craft of poetry and the preservation of Welsh literary traditions. He was honored with burial in the Tomb of Eben Fardd, a fitting recognition of his contributions to Welsh letters and culture.
