Biography

Édouard-Charles Weyland (1839–1892) was a French architect who contributed to the built environment of nineteenth-century France. Active during the latter half of the century, he worked within the architectural traditions and innovations of the Second Empire and early Third Republic periods.

His professional legacy is preserved through his architectural works and his interment in Père Lachaise Cemetery, where many of France's most distinguished builders and designers were honored. Weyland's career reflected the high standards of French architectural practice during his era.
