Biography

Eduard Berka pursued the calling of teaching and, born in 1909, he guided his pupils through the turbulent years of the late 1930s and early 1940s with patience and a belief in the power of learning. He sought to help each young person find confidence and a steady path despite the uncertainty of the world beyond the classroom.

He now rests at Brno Central Cemetery, his legacy carried forward in the lives of those he inspired and in the firm mark he left on the schools he served.
