Eduard Starkov

Biography

Eduard Starkov (1969–1997) was a Russian composer from Vyborg whose brief but significant life was devoted to musical creation. Working during the transformative final years of the Soviet Union and the early post-Soviet period, Starkov contributed to Russian musical culture during a pivotal era.

Though his life was cut short at age twenty-eight, Starkov's compositions reflected the artistic developments of his generation and the cultural landscape of his native city.
