Edward Clifford Anderson Sr. served Savannah in numerous civic capacities, including as mayor, and helped shepherd the city through a period of growth and challenge.

He lent his experience to the stewardship of the port and to charitable institutions, leaving behind a legacy of thoughtful leadership and public service.
