Edward Dray lived eighty-seven years, one of the longest lives among his generation, witnessing the full arc of American independence from the colonial period through the early decades of the republic. His longevity allowed him to see the nation mature and develop.
Dray's final resting place at Casterline Cemetery preserves his memory among his community. His long life and the span of history he witnessed make him a valuable link to America's founding era.
