Edward Harleston

Biography

Edward Harleston, born in 1794, carried a warm enthusiasm for family and fellowship in the rural community surrounding Strawberry Chapel, and his friends treasured the generosity he extended in both word and deed. Though his years were relatively few, he leaned into every occasion to bring comfort and laughter to those around him.

He was laid to rest at Strawberry Chapel Cemetery in 1826, cherished by a community that still speaks of his ready kindness and gentle spirit.
