Biography
Edward Lyman Abbott balanced his early promise as an athlete with a strong sense of duty, exchanging civilian pursuits for military training as the war demanded ever more from his peers.
He was among the many who fell during the closing months of the conflict in 1918, and he is remembered at Roye New British Cemetery, where the kindness and commitment he displayed in life are still honored.
