Biography

Edward Tuck, born in 1842, was a businessperson and philanthropist who fostered Franco-American ties through the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His success in finance enabled him to support cultural and educational causes on both sides of the Atlantic.

Tuck’s generous contributions helped sustain institutions devoted to art and learning, leaving a legacy of friendship between nations that continues to inspire, and he is interred at Saint Germain-en-Laye Old Communal Cemetery.
