Biography

Edwin L. Babbitt (1817-1891) was an author whose earnest explorations of metaphysics and the occult sought to bring clarity to questions of spirit and science. He published several influential works that invited readers to consider the powers of light, color, and consciousness with a thoughtful, inquisitive spirit.

Though his ideas stirred debate, he remained committed to elevating public conversation about unseen forces, and those who followed his writings continue to appreciate the discipline and curiosity he brought to such delicate subjects; he now reposes at Youngsville Cemetery.
