Egmont Prinz zur Lippe-Weißenfeld was a military serviceman whose life was entwined with the fraught history of the mid-twentieth century. He approached his duties with seriousness and sought, like many others, to navigate the difficult responsibilities placed before him.

Egmont died in 1944 and is remembered at Ysselsteyn German war cemetery, where his story joins those of countless others who remind us that every life touched by war deserves remembrance.
