Biography
Elazar Barak devoted his adult life to the defense of Israel, serving as a military officer whose professionalism and integrity earned the respect of commanders and soldiers alike. He mentored younger officers, promoted strategic thinking, and always emphasized the importance of caring for the men and women under his command.
After retiring from active duty, he remained engaged with veterans’ organizations and supported initiatives that honored service members’ sacrifices. He passed in 2008 and rests in Kiryat Shaul Cemetery, where his memory endures among comrades.
