Biography
Eldridge Cleaver's memoir Soul on Ice and his role as a leader in the Black Panther Party made him one of the most controversial and compelling voices of the 1960s civil rights movement.
In later years he reflected on his journey, seeking reconciliation through writing and travel, and he was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery and Mausoleum, leaving behind a complex legacy of activism.
