Eleanora Websterfield

Biography

Eleanora Websterfield was born in 1796 and lived during the Regency era. She spent her life in Calcutta during the height of British colonial influence in India, where she became part of the European community that shaped the city's cultural landscape.

Her life, though cut short at twenty-seven years of age, is commemorated at South Park Street Cemetery, where she rests alongside other notable figures of her time. Her burial there reflects the customs and traditions of the British expatriate community in colonial India.
