Biography

Elfriede Baum was an accomplished Austrian art historian whose scholarly work advanced the understanding and appreciation of art history in Austria. Born in 1922, she dedicated her career to the study and interpretation of artistic traditions and movements.

Baum's expertise and contributions to the field of art history left a lasting impact on Austrian cultural scholarship. Her work spanned much of the twentieth century until her death in 2012. She was laid to rest at Döbling Cemetery.
