Biography

Eliezer Ben-Yehuda transformed the Hebrew language, breathing new life into ancient speech so that it could serve as the living tongue of a people returning to their homeland.

His tireless devotion to lexicography, journalism, and education inspired generations and is forever commemorated at the Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery.
