Elihu Goodsell

Biography

Elihu Goodsell, born in 1806, invested his energy in building up the Highland area through commerce, encouragement, and civic pride. He took care to guide newcomers, support local schools, and keep the community’s promise of mutual respect alive through every season.

When he passed in 1880, friends and family interred him at Highland Public Cemetery, where his legacy of neighborly concern is still felt whenever people gather to remember a life well lived.
