Élisabeth Daniels was a distinguished editor of the early nineteenth century, playing a significant role in French literary and intellectual circles during a period of considerable cultural transformation. Her editorial work contributed to the dissemination of important texts and ideas throughout her career.

Daniels spent her professional life in Paris, where she maintained connections with the literary community. She was interred at Père Lachaise Cemetery, one of Paris's most prestigious burial grounds, reflecting her standing in French society at the time of her death in 1868.
