Eliza Grew Jones

Biography

Eliza Grew Jones was a dedicated missionary who brought Christian faith and education to Thailand during the early 19th century. Born in 1803, she answered a calling to serve in one of Asia's most challenging mission fields, demonstrating remarkable courage and commitment to her spiritual work.

Through her missionary endeavors, Jones contributed to the early Protestant presence in Thailand, engaging in both evangelical and educational work. Her service in Thailand from the early decades of the century represented the pioneering efforts of Western missionaries in Southeast Asia. She passed away in 1838, having spent her brief but impactful life in devoted service to her faith and mission.
