Eliza H. Root

Biography

Eliza H. Root was born in 1846 and devoted her long life to the quiet service of her neighbors, bringing kindness and thoughtful care to the Mayfield community through decades of change.

Her gentle presence remained a comforting constant to those around her, and her memory lives on among the faithful who remember her steady voice at the Mayfield Congregational Church; she now rests peacefully at Mayfield Congregational Cemetery.
