Eliza West Lander

Biography

Eliza West Lander was born in 1790 and lived until 1849, witnessing the early nineteenth century's transformations. Her life spanned the War of 1812, westward expansion, and the growing sectional tensions that would define her era.

She is memorialized in Broad Street Cemetery, where her legacy rests among the community members she knew throughout her life.
