Elizabeth Drexel

Biography

Elizabeth Drexel entered religious life with a generous heart, dedicating herself in the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament to serving those on the margins. Born in 1855, she combined deep faith with wide-ranging compassion, offering comfort and resources wherever hunger or hardship appeared.

When she died in 1890, the sisters and those she served remembered her warmth and selflessness, and her grave within their cemetery holds quiet testament to a life given in loving service.
