Biography

Elizabeth Montagu, Duchess of Manchester, was a woman of considerable social standing whose life spanned nearly a century of British history. As the consort of a prominent duke, she maintained an important position within aristocratic society and was instrumental in the social and domestic affairs of her family.

The Duchess lived to an advanced age, passing away in 1832. She was laid to rest at the Church of St Andrew in Kimbolton, where she was commemorated alongside her family in the monuments and memorials of this significant ecclesiastical site.
