Elizabeth Parland nurtured the quiet strength of Hinton Waldrist through her warmth and reliable friendship, ensuring St Margaret's Church remained a gathering place of trust and mutual care. Her practical compassion and cheerful encouragement gave stability to families navigating the changes of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

When she departed in 1917, the community commemorated her with gratitude, and she was interred in the churchyard of St Margaret, where her name is still spoken with affection by those who cherish her memory.
