Biography

Ellsworth Kolb spent decades capturing the inimitable light of the Grand Canyon through lantern slides and early motion pictures, pioneering ways to share that landscape with the wider world.

His fearless expeditions with his brother deepened public appreciation for the park, and he is remembered with reverence in the Grand Canyon Pioneer Cemetery where his adventurous spirit continues to inspire new generations of explorers.
