Biography

Elmer W. Holmes, born in 1841, was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, quietly mentoring younger neighbors and sharing stories that connected the moment he lived in with the resilience of those who had gone before.

He spent his later life cherishing simple gatherings and the company of friends, and in 1913 he was placed to rest at Evergreen Cemetery where the community honors his willingness to serve without fanfare.
