Eloise Freudenberg came into the world and departed within the same year, 1898; only the letters on her marker at Hoboken Cemetery attest to her brief presence among loved ones.

Though her story remains almost entirely unwritten, descendants keep her memory alive through quiet visits and family remembrances that honor the life she never had the chance to live.
