Emelie Nordström

Biography

Emelie Nordström lived a long life spanning much of the nineteenth century, born in 1802 and passing away in 1895 at the remarkable age of ninety-three. Her longevity allowed her to witness tremendous changes in Swedish society and culture throughout her lifetime.

Nordström's extensive life was commemorated through her burial at Gamla kyrkogården in Gävle, where she was laid to rest among other respected members of the community, her memory preserved in one of the region's most historic cemeteries.
