Émile Drain (1890–1966) was a French figure whose life spanned the dramatic transformations of the twentieth century. He lived through periods of significant social and political change that shaped modern France.
Drain's long life allowed him to witness the evolution of his nation across nearly eight decades. He was ultimately laid to rest in Père Lachaise Cemetery, one of Paris's most distinguished burial grounds.
