Émile Maufort

Biography

Émile Maufort answered the call to serve as a firefighter with courage, rushing toward danger to keep his fellow citizens safe. His brief life shone with bravery, whether he was riding toward flames or reassuring frightened neighbors in their darkest hours.

Although Émile’s time was cut short, his selfless actions left an imprint on the community he protected, and those who knew him recall a heart devoted to rescuing others. His final rest in Charleroi North Cemetery honors the fireman who kept hope alive when the city needed it most.
